Libyan Muslims Destroy Christian-Jewish WW II Cemetery

In the jihadist conquests that swept out of Arabia in the first few centuries after the death of Muhammad, Muslims killed and enslaved tens of millions of Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, Hindus, Buddhists and animists as they established an Islamic imperialistic empire that stretched from the Atlantic Ocean to India.

This is historical fact.

But according to many of the textbooks reviewed for our report “Education or Indoctrination? The Treatment of Islam in 6th through 12th Grade American Textbooks,” Islamic jihadists treated those they conquered with “tolerance,” even supposedly allowing “full religious freedom” for Christians and Jews.

You can view or download the report here. If you have children or grandchildren in the public schools you DEFINITELY should review this report, as it is highly likely one or more of the textbooks we reviewed are used in the schools your children and grandchildren attend.

The rewrite of history common in the textbooks reviewed ignores the extensive chronicling of these jihads, many written by Muslims. One Muslim historian estimated that some 30,000 Christian churches were destroyed during jihadist conquests of the Middle East.

A new wave of Islamic persecution of Christians and Jews is on the march in the Muslim world today. An estimated 500,000 Christians have fled Iraq since we toppled Saddam Hussein. Coptic churches are being torched in Egypt. Bethlehem, whose population once was over 85% Christian, is now estimated to be less than 10% Christian. And the jihadist genocide in Sudan has claimed an estimated 1.5million lives.

Nothing appears to be sacred in the face of this onslaught. View this short video of a group of Muslims in Libya destroying a cemetery where Christian and Jewish victims of World War II are buried. As the Muslims kick over headstones you will hear some chanting “Allahu Akbar.”

Note: Just wait, they are coming to a Rose Hills, a Christian or Jewish cemetery near you!

Obama’s Abortion Surcharge

If you don’t read this entire article, pray that the Supreme Court of the United States will!

Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel posted the following on March 14, 2012.

The news about ObamaCare in the past 24 hours is truly shocking! My profound resolve to make sure the immoral and impractical ObamaCare healthcare “reform” law is struck down has grown with each new revelation!

Thousands of participants in Liberty Counsel’s focused prayer campaign are already fervently calling upon the Lord to deliver us from ObamaCare! After you read about today’s “announcements,” I feel certain you will want to lend YOUR voice to that prayer. Please read my important message on ObamaCare and its latest dictatorial “mandate” – Mat.

It’s now official. Contained in just-released Health and Human Services guidelines is yet another mandate that requires an “abortion premium” for the establishment of state health care exchanges.

According to our friends at LifeNews…

“To comply with the accounting requirement, plans will collect a $1 abortion surcharge from each premium payer… The enrollee will make two payments, $1 per month for abortion and another payment for the rest of the services covered.

As described in the rule, the surcharge can only be disclosed to the enrollee at the time of enrollment. Furthermore, insurance plans may only advertise the total cost of the premiums without disclosing that enrollees will be charged a $1 per month fee to directly subsidize abortions.”

Here’s the bottom line: All Americans were lied to by our President, who promised that ObamaCare would not enhance abortion services, nor would taxpayer money be used to fund these murderous procedures!

And you will certainly remember the President’s oh-so-sincere promise that “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.” It turns out that, too, was a convenient “misrepresentation.”

CBO Report: ObamaCare cost estimates have doubled!

Yesterday the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its most recent projections revealing that ObamaCare’s costs will be more than double what the President promised and Congress approved – from $900 Billion to $1.76 Trillion. Analysts say the true cost will, in all likelihood, far exceed $2 Trillion over that ten-year span.

We have been saying all along that the Obama administration used accounting trickery to insure that his healthcare package came in under $1 Trillion. Now that, too, has been CONFIRMED.

  • Far fewer people will be able to obtain employer plans – or keep their existing plans – than was falsely promised.
  • Further, the CBO report disclosed the likelihood that four million people – more than four times the original estimate – will be unable to have access to healthcare services through their employers.
  • We must fervently pray to be delivered from the murderous, unaffordable, deceitful snares of ObamaCare!

I was taken aback yesterday when President Barak Obama, the leader who habitually shuns National Day of Prayer observances, called for a “prayer vigil” to rally public support for his cornerstone legislation.

As I said yesterday, I applaud the President’s desire to submit ObamaCare to the Lord, but I think he may be very surprised at His response!

I am requesting that ALL friends of Liberty Counsel rise up in an unprecedented wave of unity – and PRAY – not to sway public opinion – but, as Joel 1:14 declares, to “Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.”

Beginning March 26th, the United States Supreme Court will hear three days of oral argument on the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Law” cases. Their deliberations will include many of the key components of Liberty Counsel’s lawsuit against ObamaCare.

The President will doubtless rally supporters outside the Supreme Court that day – but I believe that together, you and I will be joined by well over 100,000 believers – faithfully praying for every phase of the Court hearings and the deliberative period leading up to their ruling being released, probably in June.

Soon, I will be passing along specific prayer requests and key issues for which to pray effectively and fervently.

For now, let’s start with the painfully obvious: ObamaCare has now been exposed as being an engine of death for pre-born Americans. And it is destroying our precious freedom of conscience by FORCING participants to pay an “abortion premium”!

The fact that HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ new “guidelines” require insurance providers to hide the “abortion surcharge” in overall premium payments clearly demonstrates the administration’s intent to deceive pro-moral Americans.

  • Our commitment to pray will be recorded in a unique “Book of Remembrance. ”
  • Our Book of Remembrance is based on the pattern described in Malachi 3:16…

“A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.” It commemorates the names of those joining a solemn assembly to petition the Lord in a time of great trouble – in fact, a time like now!

Our Book of Remembrance is the roll of a national gathering of Believers, convened on the Internet, covenanting to join in prayer in the Spirit of Joel 1:14.

It will contain the names of multiplied tens of thousands of deeply concerned Christians who will be crying, “Lord, deliver us from ObamaCare!” throughout the period of time leading up to the expected announcement of the Court’s holdings in June.

Our nation desperately needs 100,000 or more prayerful patriots to be included in Liberty Counsel’s Book of Remembrance. More than anything else, Liberty Counsel’s Book of Remembrance is a way for you to play a direct role in STOPPING ObamaCare now and for all time!

Click here to add your name to the roll of Believers who will commit to pray over the next several weeks:

When you sign our Book of Remembrance, we will send you a free bumper sticker that declares, “Lord, deliver us from ObamaCare!” Click here to see this full-sized, high-quality vinyl product:

We are totally committed to seeking God’s Hand of deliverance!

In early May 2011, as I entered the courtroom of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals facing the Department of Justice in our case “Liberty University v. Geithner,” I was carrying our Amici Book. If you will remember, the book was filled with over 76,000 names of people who had committed to pray for us that day and throughout this process.

As I’ve shared with you before, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond ruled that the individual mandate is a “tax” under the Anti-Injunction Act (AIA), and thus the court does not have jurisdiction to rule on the merits until the “tax” is paid and a “refund” is sought by a taxpayer.

Thus, according to the appeal court’s logic, the case could not even be brought to the federal courts until the mandate becomes effective in 2014.

This ruling went against every court in America that considered ObamaCare! Every other court found that the mandate is a “penalty,” not a tax, and that the AIA does not apply.

There was never any doubt that the Supreme Court would be the final arbiter of the constitutionality of ObamaCare. Now, as I look back over these events, I CLEARLY see God’s providential Hand guiding the process and answering our prayers! And I expect nothing less than His blessing as the Supreme Court considers ObamaCare’s final disposition.

I know that God’s people were praying that day last May and throughout this long, drawn-out process. Further, I believe the Lord has uniquely prepared Liberty Counsel for this season in our nation’s history. I believe that God is bigger than all of this – and that our Fourth Circuit ruling and the DOJ’s appeal certainly didn’t take Him by surprise!

The Lord has continually honored our work and the prayers of His people. The evidence of that is quite clear!

That’s why I am once again calling upon you to add YOUR name to the Book of Remembrance and to show your commitment to pray, “Lord, deliver us from ObamaCare!” To indicate your prayer commitment and to receive your free bumper sticker, click here:

This legal battle against the government takeover of the American healthcare system is arguably the most historic litigation ever fought in the United States federal judiciary! It is truly worthy of every American Christian’s best prayer effort.

Thank you in advance for your prayer support and continuing partnership with Liberty Counsel. May God richly bless you!

P. S. The High Court’s ruling, expected in June, will impact every business, healthcare facility, health insurer, and, most importantly, every individual in America. Their holding will either restore several of the pillars of our Constitution that ObamaCare violates, or further extend Big Government’s reach into the lives of every American.

The Book of Remembrance is simply your commitment to pray, “Lord, deliver us from ObamaCare!” from March to June. Please pray for the Supreme Court Justices, their deliberations, and their decisions.

I pray EVERY American will pray for God’s will to be done in this historic case! Click here to add your name to our vital Book of Remembrance and to order your complimentary bumper sticker:

Who Was Haym Solomon – One Nation Under God

History from a $1 Bill-Fascinating! Read all the way to the bottom to know about Haym Solomon!

On the rear of the One Dollar bill, you will see two circles. Together, they comprise the Great Seal of the United States . The First Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and a group of men come up with a Seal. It took this group four years to accomplish the task and another two years to get it approved. If you look at the left-hand circle, you will see a Pyramid.

Notice the face is lighted, and the western side is dark. This country was just beginning. We had not begun to explore the west or decided what we could do for Western Civilization. The Pyramid is uncapped, again signifying that we were not even close to being finished. Inside the Capstone you have the all-seeing eye, an ancient symbol for divinity. It was Franklin ‘s belief that one man couldn’t do it alone, but a group of men, with the help of God, could do anything.

‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ is on this currency.

The Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, means, ‘God has favored our undertaking.’ The Latin below the pyramid, NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM, means, ‘a new order has begun.’ At the base of the pyramid is the Roman numeral for 1776. (MDCCLXXVI)

If you look at the right-hand circle, and check it carefully, you will learn that it is on every National Cemetery in the United States . It is also on the Parade of Flags Walkway at the Bushnell, Florida National Cemetery , and is the centerpiece of most heroes’ monuments. Slightly modified, it is the seal of the President of the United States , and it is always visible whenever he speaks, yet very few people know what the symbols mean..

The Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons: First, he is not afraid of a storm; he is strong, and he is smart enough to soar above it. Secondly, he wears no material crown. We had just broken from the King of England . Also, notice the shield is unsupported. This country can now stand on its own. At the top of that shield you have a white bar signifying congress, a unifying factor. We were coming together as one nation. In the Eagle’s beak you will read, ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ meaning, ‘from many – one.’ Above the Eagle, you have the thirteen stars, representing the thirteen original colonies, and any clouds of misunderstanding rolling away. Again, we were coming together as one.

Notice what the Eagle holds in his talons. He holds an olive branch and Arrows. This country wants peace, but we will never be afraid to fight to preserve peace. The Eagle always wants to face the olive branch, but in time of war, his gaze turns toward the arrows.

They say that the number 13 is an unlucky number. This is almost a worldwide belief. You will usually never see a room numbered 13, or any hotels or motels with a 13th floor. But think about this:

13 original colonies,
13 signers of the Declaration of Independence ,
13 stripes on our flag,
13 steps on the Pyramid,
13 letters in ‘Annuit Coeptis,’
13 letters in ‘ E Pluribus Unum,’
13 stars above the Eagle,
13 bars on that shield,
13 leaves on the olive branch,
13 fruits, and if you look closely,
13 arrows.

And finally, if you notice the arrangement of the 13 stars in the right-hand circle you will see that they are arranged as a Star of David. This was ordered by George Washington who, when he asked Haym Solomon, a wealthy Philadelphia Jew, what he would like as a personal reward for his services to the Continental Army, Solomon said he wanted nothing for himself but that he would like something for his people. The Star of David was the result. Few people know that it was Solomon who saved the Army through his financial contributions but died a pauper. Haym Solomon gave $25 million to the Continental Army, money that was extremely important to our independence from England .

I always ask people, ‘Why don’t you know this?’ Your children do NOT know this, and their history teachers do NOT know this. Too many Veterans have given up too much to ever let the meaning fade. Many Veterans remember coming home to an America that did NOT care. Too many Veterans never came home at all…

I, for one, plan to share this page with everyone, so that they can learn what is on the back of the UNITED STATES ONE DOLLAR BILL, and What it stands for!

Actor Kirk Cameron Stands Up for Christian Beliefs

In the past thirty or forty years the homosexual community has advanced it’s agenda in practically every area of society. They have accomplished this not because they have taken the moral high ground, but because they are well funded, have successfully positioned themselves politically and in the educational and business sectors of our society. Their greatest challenge comes from most every major faith, especially the Christian faith. In many Muslim countries Homosexuals and killed. They have cleverly reinterpreted those passages that speak to the homosexual lifestyle and they have been very successful in convincing many Christians that homosexuality is just another “normal” part of God’s creation.

It is true that God created us all and loves every one of us. It is also true that we should love one another, whatever one’s sexual “preference” may be. Yet, for many of us who embrace our Christian faith, we believe the Word of God teaches that He created us with  physical equipment and emotional building blocks that find meaning in marriage with a member of the opposite sex, and so marriage is to be between a man and a woman, the very foundation for the family.

When a very verbal homosexual begins to rail against those “homophobic” radical right wing Christians and makes every attempt to shut off first amendment rights of everyone he disagrees with, then we need to stand for our rights which are not trumped by the homosexual agenda or pressure. It is difficult for many to speak their faith and convictions without homosexual groups seeking to silence them. Actor Kirk Cameron and Michele Backmann are only two of the most recent individuals who have received poison arrows from the homosexual community. See below!

Recently, actor and Christian Kirk Cameron appeared on

"I should be able to express moral views on social issues, especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years - without being slandered."

CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” show to promote his new movie Monumental: In Search of America’s National Treasure. The conversation turned to Cameron’s opinions on some controversial social topics.

During the interview, Morgan asked about Kirk Cameron’s beliefs on homosexuality. In response, Cameron stated his belief that homosexuality is “unnatural… detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.” Though he did not seem to agree with these comments, Morgan later told a news magazine show that he believed Cameron was “brave to say what he did,” and that “he was honest to what he believed.”

A few days later, Piers Morgan interviewed Rep. Michele

"I'm very adamant and very clear that I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, and I stand for that. I don't think that's bigoted."

Bachmann and pressed her for her response to Cameron’s answers and her own views on homosexuality. After Morgan called her “one of the most judgmental people in America probably,” she stated, “I’m very adamant and very clear that I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, and I stand for that. I don’t think that’s bigoted.”

Back in Cameron’s court, attacks came quickly and fiercely against him from different liberal groups and celebrities. GLAAD (The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) labeled the actor an “extremist” and started a petition to “Tell Kirk Cameron It’s Time to Finally Grow Up,” while a couple of Cameron’s former costars posted their responses: Alan Thicke tweeted, “I’m getting him some new books. The Old Testament simply can’t be expected to explain everything,” while Tracy Gold posted, “I am a strong supporter of the #LGBT Community, and I believe in equal rights for all. #NOH8 #LOVE”.

Later, Cameron defended his remarks and addressed some of the negative speech that was directed his way, saying:
“I spoke as honestly as I could, but some people believe my responses were not loving toward those in the gay community. That is not true. I can assuredly say that it’s my life’s mission to love all people. I should be able to express moral views on social issues, especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years — without being slandered, accused of hate speech, and told from those who preach ‘tolerance’ that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.” (emphasis added)

We agree – Cameron has a right to free speech and to answer questions honestly. Everyone has a right to their own opinions and beliefs, free from the fear of condemnation and pressure to concede to other points of view. At Advocates, it is our lifelong passion to defend these rights, and we will continue to do so, with God’s guidance and your encouragement!

You can watch a clip of the Kirk Cameron interview here, and the Michele Bachmann interview here.

One recent example of how powerful homosexuals have become against their “enemies,” is seen in the El Paso. The mayor is clearly a pawn of homosexuals who want him to implement benefits for same-sex partners. It makes no difference to Mayor Cook that voters had decided not to allow that. The issue is not to decide the merits of benefits for same-sex partners, that was decided in the referendum. The real issue should be focused on a Mayor who seeks to remove first amendment rights and then threatens to put those individuals in jail for exercising their rights in speaking out against the homosexual community who is seeking to reverse the will of the people.

In that city a prosecutor has decided to pursue and possibly charge members of El Paso area churches who promoted petitions opposing the city administration’s decision to implement benefit for same-sex partners even after voters decided not to allow that.

Attorneys representing the churches warn that hundreds of Christians and other El Paso citizens “are facing jail time for exercising their constitutionally protected right to speak out against the El Paso Mayor, John Cook and his policies.

Nationwide Sharia Campaign

Muslim Brotherhood Front Group
ICNA Nationwide Sharia Campaign
You Must Read This Report!
This strikes at the heart of our Constitutional Republic.

Islamic Circle of North America, un-indicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, is rolling out a nationwide propaganda campaign to promote and institute Shariah Law in the United States.

The campaign, which includes Shariah billboards in 15 cities (see below), Shariah seminars on 20 college campuses, and town hall style forums in 25 cities, is to combat the so-called “anti-Shariah legislation” adopted in 4 states and in the legislative process in many others.

The “town hall” meeting scheduled for Orange County in April as part of their “Understand Shariah” campaign features keynote speaker is Dr. Tariq Ramadan, and get this…he is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan al Banna. Folks, you just can’t make this stuff up…their intentions are completely transparent. Ramadan’s U.S. visa was revoked in 2004, but it was re-instated by Hillary Clinton in 2010 (remember, Clinton’s chief of staff is Huma Abedni, a Muslim and wife of disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner, whose mother, Saleha Abedin, is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, the IWO, a Muslim Brotherhood organization).   The central idea behind this campaign is to promote the idea that Islamic Shariah Law is consistent with and is not in conflict with the American Constitution. Furthermore, they continue to use the banner of religious freedom and civil rights as their platform and are demonizing those opposing them as bigots and Islamophobes. Welcome to their cultural jihad.   It would almost be laughable if it wasn’t for the fact that our Law Enforcement leaders (Baca, Downing) and elected politicos (Sanchez, Waters and Chu to name a few) weren’t also promoting these ideas. This is real folks, take it seriously. I have complied the report below from only a faction of the news on this topic that has been breaking over the last month. This is a required reading for every Patriotic Amnerican. We will cover this at our next Chapter meeting on March 10 at 6:00 p.m. after guest speaker Jesse Petrilla’s presentation.

ICNA’s Defending Shariah website is the corner stone of their campaign to ‘normalize’ Islamic Shariah Law.  This site is a treasure trove of propaganda and talking points that are being used to push the idea that America has nothing to fear from Islamic Shariah law.  Visit t
he site here.

Shariah billboards are targeted high traffic freeways around the country and right here in Southern California. This link takes you to a Youtube video of one of the first of these billboards to show up in Oklahoma.
Shariah vs. The American Constitution is not a new…it has arisen throughout our Country’s history.  In 1876, the U.S. consul to Turkey, Horace Maynard, understood – and articulated – the irreconcilability between Islam’s Shariah despotism and the ideals embodied in the Constitution.  This statesman noted In his writings of Shariah’s negation of basic non-Muslim rights.  Read the full description here.

Shariah influence is present in more than 50 court rulings throughout the U.S.  Shariah Law is already here folks. The most recent example is a court ruling by a Pennsylvania judge who dropped assault charges against a Muslim man citing that in Islamic countries, he was justified in his actions.  You can watch the ABC News report here.

You can read a full analysis of this case and the beginning of the recall of this judge, against the backdrop of recent meeting between our State Department and the OIC, the Organization of Islamic Countries, to discuss implementation of the ”Istanbul Process” here.
Islamists in Switzerland are now planning for a ”Parallel Parliament”.  So you want to know where all this is headed here in America?  Look no further than Switzerland where leading Islamic groups are seeking to establish a single representative body.  Their new Parliament will be based on the principles of Islamic Shariah Law.  So don’t let anyone tell you ”It can’t happen here”…because it IS HAPPENING HERE!  You should read the entire report here.

A Classic Catholic Mimi Sermon

Father Sammie L. Maletta, Jr. is a Roman Catholic priest that ministers on my side of the aisle would do well to hear and emulate. He speaks the truth about what is happening and he boldly without apology encourages his flock to stand for those less fortunate among us. He makes a very strong case against the Obama administration as it seeks to force compromise on his church. If you have a desire for righteousness in our land, listen to Father Maletta, a priest with conviction and guts.

Rick Warren – A Worthwhile Read

Rick Warren, the lead minister at Saddleback Church, has been viciously attacked from both those within the Church and those outside the Church. We know the world is filled with people and institutions that seek to bring the church and church leaders down. Their attacks are anything but fair and balanced. Perhaps this interview with Warren will share some light on the “facts” that appear to be anything but.

March 2, 2012

Dear friends,
A few days ago, an article appeared in the Orange County Register that included some outrageous statements about Saddleback that were incorrect.  Of course, the media rarely gets everything right, and there’s no way we could respond to every false statement made about us. But I felt this article created so many misperceptions that I agreed to do an interview in response. The interview transcript is included below. Please read it all and then forward it to everyone you know who would be interested.

with Brandon A. Cox and The Christian Post

QUESTION: Do people of other religions worship the same God as Christians?

Of course not. Christians have a view of God that is unique. We believe Jesus is God! We believe God is a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Not three separate gods but one God. No other faith believes Jesus is God. My God is Jesus. The belief in God as a Trinity is the foundational difference between Christians and everyone else. There are 2.1 billion people who call themselves Christians . . . whether Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Pentecostal, or Evangelical . . . and they all have the doctrine of the Trinity in common.

QUESTION: A recent newspaper article claimed you believe Christians and Muslims worship the same God, that you are “in partnership” with a mosque, and that you both agreed to “not evangelize each other.” You immediately posted a brief refutation online. Can you expand on that?

WARREN: Sure. All three of those statements are flat out wrong. Those statements were made by a reporter, not by me. I did not say them . . . I do not believe them . . . I completely disagree with them . . . and no one even talked to me about that article! So let me address each one individually: First, as I’ve already said, Christians have a fundamentally different view of God than Muslims. We worship Jesus as God. Muslims don’t. Our God is Jesus, not Allah. Colossians 2:9 says “For in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Second, while we urge our members to build friendships with everyone in our community, including Muslims and other faiths, (“Love your neighbor as yourself”), our church has never had any partnership with a mosque.  Friendship and partnership are two very different levels of commitment. Some of our members have hosted a Bible study with Muslim friends, which I applaud, but I’ve never been to it, and a Bible study certainly isn’t any kind of partnership or merger! It’s just crazy that a simple Bible study where people explore scripture with non-Christians would be reported as a partnership and others would interpret that as a plan for a new compromised religion. Just crazy! Third, as both an Evangelical and as an evangelist, anyone who knows me and my 40 year track record of ministry knows that I would never agree to “not evangelizing” anyone!  I am commanded by my Savior to share the Good News with all people everywhere, all the time, in every way possible!  Anyone who’s heard me teach knows that my heart beats for bringing others to Jesus.

QUESTION: That same article mentioned that you ate an Iftar dinner with Orange County Muslims. What is that all about?

WARREN: It’s called being polite and a good neighbor. For years, we have invited Muslim friends to attend our Easter and Christmas services and they have graciously attended year after year. Some have even celebrated our family’s personal Christmas service in our home. So when they have a potluck when their month of fasting ends, we go to their party. It’s a Jesus thing. The Pharisees criticized him as “the friend of sinners” because Jesus ate dinner with people they disapproved of. By the way, one of my dear friends is a Jewish Rabbi and my family has celebrated Passover at his home, and he attends our Christmas and Easter services.  I wish more Christians would reach out in love like Jesus.

QUESTION: Why do you think people who call themselves Christians sometimes say the most hateful things about Muslims?

WARREN: Well, some of those folks probably aren’t really Christians. 1 John 4:20 says, “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.” And 1 John 2:9 says “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.”  I am not allowed by Jesus to hate anyone. Our culture has accepted two huge lies: The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear them or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.

QUESTION: Let’s talk about evangelism. In the past 10 years, Saddleback Church has baptized over 24,000 new believers. No other church comes close to that record. You are likely the most evangelistic church in America. What’s the key?

WARREN: We are willing to do what many other churches are unwilling to do. We are willing to go beyond our comfort zone.

QUESTION: For instance?

WARREN: Because Jesus commanded us to take the Gospel to everyone, I spend much of my time with groups of people who completely disagree with what I believe. I’m constantly trying to build a bridge of love to nonbelievers, to atheists, to gays, to those I disagree with politically, and to those of other faiths. We don’t wait for these people to come to church; we go to them and share with them on their turf, not ours. Every member is a minister and a missionary. Saddleback was a missional church 30 years before the term became popular. We just called it being “purpose driven”.

QUESTION: “Building a bridge” sounds like compromise to many people.

WARREN: Building a bridge has nothing to do with compromising your beliefs. It’s all about your behavior and your attitude toward them. It’s about genuinely loving people. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Before people ask, “Is Jesus credible?” they want to know if you are credible. Before people trust Jesus they must trust you. You cannot win your enemies to Christ, only your friends. It’s part of what Paul calls “the ministry of reconciliation.” It is Christ-like to treat people with dignity and listen to them with respect.

QUESTION: Why are most Christians so ineffective at sharing their faith?

WARREN: I have a whole seminar on that! First, they don’t really have any unbelieving friends. They spend all their time with other Christians. As a result, they are afraid to share their faith because it feels unnatural to them. For most people to come to Christ, you must build a relationship with them first. You must love them. The truth is, most Christians love everything else more than the people around them that Jesus died for. Second, many don’t really believe that people are lost without Christ. Third, many Christians are afraid of the criticism they will receive from other Christians if they hang out with unbelievers. It was the religious people who hated Jesus the most. They criticized him for associating with tax collectors and lepers and prostitutes and politicians and going to parties. Lost people loved Jesus but the religious folks saw his associations as dangerous compromise. The same is true today. Modern Pharisees still use guilt by association as a weapon. Just read the blogs. They’d rather hunker in a bunker and attack those courageous enough to reach out to non-Christians. I do not fear the disapproval of others. I fear the disapproval of God on my disobedience to what he has clearly commanded us to do.

QUESTION: What is the P.E.A.C.E. plan?

WARREN: It is a biblical strategy of ministry based on five activities Jesus modeled in his ministry. Saddleback members have been beta testing it for the past nine years all around the world. Each letter of P.E.A.C.E. represents one of five things Jesus taught his disciples to do: P stands for Plant churches. E stands for Equip leaders. A stands for Assist the poor. C stands for Care for the sick. E stands for Educate the next generation. The PEACE plan is accomplished by local churches through local churches. It is based on three passages of Scripture and the specific instructions Jesus gave to his teams that he sent out. There are at least a dozen major differences between the PEACE Plan and the traditional, typical mission program of NGOs and parachurch organizations of the past 100 years. It is a return to the missional strategy.

QUESTION: What is the PEACE Center?

WARREN: Based on Jesus’ instructions in Acts 1:8, we practice the PEACE Plan in three dimensions: PERSONAL PEACE – my ministry to those closest to me; LOCAL PEACE -our congregation’s ministry to our community; and GLOBAL PEACE – serving other local churches around the world as those congregations do their own local PEACE.  The PEACE Center is the building on our church campus that houses about three dozen of our 300 ministries to the community. It offers our food bank, job training, family counseling, legal aid, tutoring, English as a second language, legal immigration assistance, and many other ministries.

QUESTION:  I read an article that claimed you were building a PEACE Center to bring Muslims and Christians together in peace.

WARREN: It was the writer’s mistake. He got two different stories confused. Our recently opened PEACE Center, on the Saddleback Church campus has NOTHING . . . zero . . . to do with our Muslim friends.

This is an example of why I always doubt what I read in newspapers and blogs about ministries. Secular reporters trying to cover churches and theological issues often get it wrong. But then Christian bloggers, instead of contacting the ministry, blindly believe, quote and repost the errors made by secular reporters. Then those errors become permanent, searchable, and global on the Internet. I couldn’t count the number of times a secular reporter has gotten a story about Saddleback wrong but then it is perpetuated by Christians who never fact-check.  And the three factors I mentioned about the Internet make it impossible to correct all the misperceptions, and outright lies that get repeated over and over.

QUESTION: You mentioned legal immigration services. How many languages do Saddleback members speak?

WARREN: At last count, I heard we speak 76 languages in our church family. One of our 10 values, the “A” in our S.A.D.D.L.E.B.A.C.K. strategy, is that we are an ALL-nation congregation. We are a multi-ethnic church. We want our congregation to look like heaven will look – with every age, race, tribe, and economic background represented.

QUESTION: What is the goal of your ministry?

WARREN: To know Christ and make Him known! To live out Jesus’ Great Commandment and Great Commission! In fact, this has been the motto of Saddleback Church since we started it in 1980: “A great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a great church.” Everything we do comes out of these two great texts. God’s five eternal purposes for both our lives and the church proceed from these verses. The Purpose Driven Church and The Purpose Driven Life explain this in detail.

QUESTION: Through the PEACE Plan, Saddleback became the first local congregation in 2,000 years of Christian history to send its members to literally “every nation” as Jesus commanded.

WARREN: That’s correct.

QUESTION: How did you accomplish that?

WARREN: By taking Jesus’ command seriously. When Jesus said, “Go to EVERY nation” we asked ourselves as a church family, “Has any local church in 2,000 years ever actually done that? If not, why don’t we be the first!” So we set a goal to send our members to every nation of the world to do the five tasks of the P.E.A.C.E. Plan by the end of 2010.  Of course I know that the Greek ta ethne refers to people groups or tribes not political nations, but you have to start somewhere! So we decided that we would send our members on mission to all 197 nations in the world. (There are 195 nations in the United Nations. The only two nations not in the United Nations are Taiwan and Serbia.) On November 18, 2010, a Saddleback team went to the last nation, #197, a small island in the Caribbean called, St. Kitts. Now, our goal for the next decade, which we call our Decade of Destiny is to mobilize a network of churches who will commit to planting new churches in the final 3,600 unengaged people groups that still do not have a Christian church.

QUESTION: How many members did you send out to complete your church’s goal of taking the gospel to every nation?

WARREN: 15,867 members were sent out. Of course, we’ve gone way past that in the last year.

QUESTION: What is your mission goal this year?

WARREN: Within a year from this Easter, we intend to plant new churches in 12 strategic cities around the world as resource centers and base camps for the greater goal of planting churches in the 3,600 unengaged people groups.

QUESTION:  What are those 12 cities?

WARREN: Tokyo, Berlin, Johannesburg, Bangalore, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, London, Freetown, Moscow, Mexico City, Amman, and Manila.  Anyone who’d like to be a part of the team should contact me at or on Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn.

QUESTION: Are you promoting Chrislam?

WARREN: Of course not. It’s the lie that won’t die. No matter how many times we refute it and correct that lie, people keep passing it on as truth. Jesus is the only way to salvation. Period. If I didn’t believe that, I’d get into a much easier line of work! But I do believe that everybody needs Jesus and I am willing to put up with false statements and misunderstandings in order to get the Gospel out.

QUESTION:  What are your greatest frustrations about evangelism?

WARREN: That Christians would rather argue than evangelize. That people are more interested in winning arguments that in winning people. That people are more interested in making a point than in making a difference. That people put politics above the souls of people. That people are more afraid of guilt by association than allowing others to go to hell.

QUESTION: If anyone wants to learn or teach their church how to be more effective in evangelism and missions what should they do?

WARREN: Write to me at and ask me for an invitation to the group of leaders I train each week through a private webcast.

QUESTION: Any last word?

WARREN: Reach one more for Jesus! Anyone who’s read Purpose Driven Life knows those were my father’s last words and deathbed instructions to me. It is the theme of my life and I invite you to make it yours.  Nothing is more important than the eternal destiny of those around us.
