Another Wake Up Call

Belgistan? Sharia showdown Looms in Brussels.

The camel and a good deal of its body is in the tent. If you care about America remaining the land of the free and the brave, if you care about your children and grandchildren living as free people as opposed toliving under Shari Law, then you must see and understand the radical transformation of Europe taking place today. Several European countries will be dominated by Islam before or by 2030, in some countries much sooner.

How a Radicalized Muslim Thinks

The following story is verified by TruthorFiction at http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/p/palestinian-burn-patient-bomber-091413.htm#.VAMa10u5y9A

By Dr. Arieh Eldad an M.D. at Hadassah Hospital in Israel

I was instrumental in establishing the “Israeli National Skin Bank”, which
is the largest in the world. The National Skin Bank stores skin for every
day needs as well as for war time or mass casualty situations.

This skin bank is hosted at the Hadassah Ein Kerem University hospital in
Jerusalem where I was the Chairman of plastic surgery.

This is how I was asked to supply skin for an Arab woman from Gaza , who
was hospitalized in Soroka Hospital in Beersheva, after her family burned
her.

Usually, such atrocities happen among Arab families when the women are
suspected of having an affair.

We supplied all the needed Homografts for her treatment. She was
successfully treated by my friend and colleague, Prof. Lior Rosenberg and
discharged to return to Gaza .

She was invited for regular follow-up visits to the outpatient clinic in
Beersheva.

One day she was caught at a border crossing wearing a suicide belt.
She meant to explode herself in the outpatient clinic of the hospital where
they saved her life.

It seems that her family promised her that if she did that, they would
forgive her.

This is only one example of the war between Jews and Muslims in the Land of
Israel . It is not a territorial conflict. This is a civilizational
conflict, or rather a war between civilization & barbarism.

Bibi (Netanyahu) gets it, Obama does not.
I have never written before asking everyone to please forward onwards so
that as many as possible can understand radical Islam and what awaits
the world if it is not stopped.

Saudis Paying off ISIS not to Attack?

Sunday, August 31, 2014, the following exclusive report was posted by WND

King’s bombshell warning to West neglects to tell whole story

Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud

Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud

WASHINGTON – Following Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud’s bombshell warning that the next target of the Islamic State, or ISIS, will be Europe first and America a month after that, one Middle East source is suggesting the Saudis may have paid ISIS extortion money not to attack the kingdom.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous but is close to officials in the governments of Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, said that the Saudis years ago did the same thing when Prince al-Turki, then Saudi Arabia’s intelligence chief, traveled to Afghanistan to meet with al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden.

In that meeting, Turki reportedly paid millions of dollars to bin Laden to refrain from attacking the Saudi kingdom, even though bin Laden had turned against the Saudi monarchy for hosting U.S. forces on Muslim soil to fight against then Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

In expressing concern that such an event may be happening, the WND source pointed out there had been concern about a month ago that ISIS was preparing to attack the Saudi kingdom, with a number of ISIS fighters saying publicly the jihadist group would capture Mecca and Medina – two of the most holy Muslims cities in all Islam.

Until recently, ISIS forces were known to be approaching the border between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, with some cells having penetrated the kingdom before being captured.

In his most recent comments to new ambassadors to the Saudi Kingdom, however, Abdullah only warned that the West, including Europe and the U.S., would be the next targets unless there is “rapid” action.

“If we ignore them, I am sure they will reach Europe in a month and America in another month,” Abdullah was quoted as saying in the daily Asharq al-Awsat.

“Terrorism knows no border, and its danger could affect several countries outside the Middle East,” Abdullah told the new ambassadors.

The king’s prediction sent shockwaves through the international media, even garnering the top headline on the widely popular Drudge Report.

But with no similar concerns from Abdullah about a possible attack on Saudi soil, WND’s source questioned whether Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan may be working negotiations behind the scenes to keep ISIS at bay.

Bandar is a nephew of Abdullah. For years, he was the Saudi ambassador to the U.S., becoming close friends with former U.S. President George W. Bush. Following that stint, he returned to Saudi Arabia and became the chief of the Saudi intelligence service and Saudi national security council.

President George W. Bush and Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan

From the time the U.S. created the Sunni Mujahedeen to fight against the then Soviet Union in Afghanistan in the early 1980s, Bandar played a key role in operations to dispatch jihadist fighters and helped provide financial, military and human support.

WND’s source said that given his close association with jihadist groups over the years, Bandar may have the necessary contacts to pay extortion money to ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, just as Turki did years earlier to bin Laden.

The source said Bandar has a history of such activity, referring to his efforts in Syria to buy fighters to go against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is allied with Iran.

The Saudis, who are Sunni, are concerned that Iran – which is Shia – will extend its influence in predominantly Sunni Gulf Arab countries. The Sunnis and Shia have been at odds since the death of Mohammad in 632 A.D.

Today, Iran and Saudi Arabia are engaged in proxy wars from Bahrain and Iraq to Syria and Yemen. The Saudis are concerned that the Shia in countries such as Iraq and Syria and even Lebanon will have more influence over what the Saudis believe are Sunni regions in the Middle East.

All the jihadist fighters from such prominent groups as Jabhat al-Nusra, Abdullah Azzam Brigades and the Islamic State are extremist Sunnis who seek to make all lands dominated by Sunnis into a caliphate that will be subject to strict Shariah, or Islamic law.

Bandar was known to have been working for a time in northern Lebanon and then in Jordan to pay fighters to join various Islamist groups. The fighters would be trained in Jordan, many by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, then transferred through Turkey and into Syria.

Many of the fighters whom the U.S. trained and Bandar financed belonged to jihadist groups that not only took over from the opposition fighters of the Free Syrian Army, but later peeled off to join ISIS.

As a consequence, many of the ISIS fighters display many of the tactics and fighting techniques employed by U.S. Special Forces, a development which has raised mounting concern in Washington should the fighters who survive the battlefield return to their homeland, including the U.S.

In a display of Bandar’s relationship with jihadi fighters, he had met with Russian President Vladimir Putin late last year in the hope of getting the Russian president to switch his support away from Assad and Iran and back the Syrian opposition, which by then had thoroughly infiltrated the opposition and had control over larger weapons.

Bandar reportedly told Putin that he controlled like a “light switch” the Sunni Chechen fighters who had been attacking Moscow’s subway and international airport and were threatening to attack the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Putin not only refused Bandar’s request to Putin to give up his backing of Assad and Iran, but reportedly grew angry with Bandar for what amounted to a threat on the Russian homeland by jihadist fighters who are under the control of Saudi Arabia.

Th Islamic State: The Enemy Within?

On Wednesday August 20, Act for America posted the following …

Last night, amid the tragedy and ongoing drama that continues to unfold in Ferguson, Missouri, a shocking image appeared which should serve as a reminder for every American about the threat we face from jihad…

4aDgvYmUTLbzVoLKX2LPlNlkhGr6HvCj_LllqXi0x-s

In this image from CNN’s coverage of the events in Ferguson, a marcher can be clearly seen in the background holding a sign that says: “ISIS HERE.”

ISIS, of course, is the acronym formerly used to refer to the jihadist terrorist organization that is widely referred to as the “Islamic State.”

The Islamic State has committed unspeakable atrocities in the Middle East, slaughtering Christians and Muslims alike.

But they also are targeting America, both with potential acts of jihad and propaganda.

In fact, the ISIS sign at the Ferguson march is perhaps no surprise given that the Islamic State has made extensive use of social media to conduct outreach to protesters there.

We can hope that the Islamic State’s efforts to win support for their cause here in the U.S. will be totally unsuccessful, but hope is not a strategy.

And, as we have warned repeatedly already, there is no doubt that the Islamic State wants to target the U.S. and Americans both here and around the world.

In fact, just Monday, the Islamic State issued another threat to the U.S., promising “We will drown all of you in blood.”

In an interview with VICE media, Islamic State spokesman Abu Mosa had this to say: “I say to America that the Islamic Caliphate has been established. We will humiliate them everywhere, God willing, and we will raise the flag of Allah in the White House.”

Last week, an unnamed intelligence official told the Washington Post that the Islamic State viewed conflict with the U.S. as inevitable.

It can’t be emphasized enough how important it is that America remain vigilant at this time. There are many competing news stories out there right now, but none of the issues that America must face are as significant as the threat from jihad. Our national security and the safety of our citizens must remain paramount.

President Obama Shows Why He Cannot Beat ISIL

ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi preaching at a mosque in Mosul, Iraq

By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | August 21st, 2014 at 04:30 AM |

Credit where it is due: for once “No Drama Obama” showed some real anger and emotion. In addressing the nation about James Foley, President Obama had a level of righteousness in his voice he does not often have. While I think it unseemly that he was literally within ten minutes of his speech on a golf course, I appreciate the righteousness in his statement. But his words bother me greatly. His words expose why he can never beat ISIL.

In his speech the President said a few things.

There has to be a clear rejection of this kind of nihilistic ideologies. One thing we can all agree on is that a group like ISIL has no place in the 21st century.

Unfortunately, there is no clear rejection of this nihilistic ideology. And while you and I may agree ISIL “has no place in the 21st century”, a lot of people do think it has a place. He said “ISIL speaks for no religion,” but they do. He and so many refuse to recognize that. It may not be Islam, but it is certainly a religion and it has many adherents.

The biggest issue, taking into account all of the above, was this:

People like this ultimately fail. They fail because the future is won by those who build and not destroy.

ISIL, The Five year plan of Conquest

ISIL, The Five year plan of Conquest

Herein lies the problem and why the President cannot beat ISIL. He is fond of talking about the arc of history bending in various directions. The truth is the arc of history does not bend on its own. People bend the arc. History bends in the direction of those who fight to bend it. As Mollie Hemingway notes, what President Obama said is “is literally Mickey Mouse philosophy. And I don’t mean that in a good way.”

The future is often won by those who fight to destroy. History bent toward the West after World War II because we destroyed the Nazis, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and so much more. History bent toward Alaric I and the Visigoths when they sacked Rome. In the long game, we face what we face in the Middle East today because of the sacking of Constantinople and the destruction of the last vestiges of the Byzantine Empire.

“[D]estruction after all is a form of creation,” wrote Graham Greene. There is a lot of truth in that. Combine President Obama’s naivety on this point with his statement on “nihilistic ideologies.” President Obama’s progressive ideology is nihilistic and deeply naive. Both the progressive ideology and ISIL end up in much the same place — progressive, secular utopia always ends in totalitarianism. It always ends in a police state where the state controls freedom. The victims of the utopia may be different from ISIL’s utopia, but there are still victims. History is filled with progressive utopias and those who suffer under them.

This arrives at the ultimate end and folly. Mr. Obama seems to think that if we can all just reject these silly ideologies and religion that we will order ourselves in a proper, tolerant society. Had he any sense of history he would know how wrong he is.

Men are brutal creatures when left to their own devices. Men in their natural state are savages who move immediately toward survival of the fittest. We do not order ourselves into utopia when stripped of ideology. We run headlong into the very nihilism Mr. Obama says we should reject. And here, friends, is where we reach the great point of division.

The world is divided into two groups: those who embrace the history and lessons of the West’s faith heritage and those who do not. Those who do not may divide among atheists, agnostics, and even ISIL. Those who embrace our heritage and that of the West know that men can be called out of their depravity and nihilism to a higher power and cause greater than themselves. But that cause is neither the collectivist state nor Muhammad. It is, instead, the one true God and Truth so many pretend do not exist.

Because too many of our political and intellectual leaders reject that altogether, they will only go for half-measures thinking ISIL cannot win on the arc of history and that it speaks for no man or religion. All those presuppositions are wrong and potentially fatal to more than those, like James Foley, who stepped too close documenting this evil.

America as the Last Man Standing

When you read the following, no sleeping pill will remedy your sleep deprivation.

The origin of the following post: Geert Wilders is a Dutch politician, a member of the House of Representatives and the chairman of the Netherlands’ Party for Freedom (currently the fourth largest party in the FDutch parliament). Mr. Wilders is well known in his home country for his strong criticism of Islam, having stated at various times that “Islāmic ideology has to be effected” and “there is no such thing as ‘moderate Islam,'” summing up his views by saying, “I don’t hate Muslims, I hate Islam” and advocating that the Netherlands ban the Quran, Islāmic dress, and the further immigration of Muslims to that country. The item referenced above is the text of a speech on the topic of Islam delivered by Mr. Wilders at the Four Seasons in New York, during a lunch sponsored by the Hudson Institute on 25 September 2008 (and commonly titled “America as the Last Man Standing” in Internet circulation).

In 2010-11 Geert Wilders was put on trial in the Netherlands, charged with five counts of inciting racial hatred over his anti-Islamic public statements. He was acquitted in June 2011.

Geert+Wilders+aa8X0VagDEKmDear friends, Thank you very much for inviting me. Great to be at the Four Seasons. I come from a country that has one season only: a rainy season that starts January 1st and ends December 31st. When we have three sunny days in a row, the government declares a national emergency. So Four Seasons, that’s new to me.

It’s great to be in New York. When I see the skyscrapers and office buildings, I think of what Ayn Rand said: “The sky over New York and the will of man-made visible.” Of course. Without the Dutch you would have been nowhere, still figuring out how to buy this island from the Indians. But we are glad we did it for you. And, frankly, you did a far better job than we possibly could have done.

I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The danger I see looming is the scenario of America as the last man standing. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islāmic Europe. In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: who lost Europe? Patriots from around Europe risk their lives every day to prevent precisely this scenario from becoming a reality.

My short lecture consists of 4 parts.

First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe. Then, I will say a few things about Islam. Thirdly, if you are still here, I will talk a little bit about the movie you just saw. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem.

The Europe you know is changing. You have probably seen the landmarks. The Eiffel Tower and Trafalgar Square and Rome’s ancient buildings and maybe the canals of Amsterdam. They are still there. And they still look very much the same as they did a hundred years ago.

But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world, a world very few visitors see – and one that does not appear in your tourist guidebook. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration. All throughout Europe a new reality is rising:

  • entire Muslim neighbourhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well.
  • It’s the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children.
  • Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corner.
  • The shops have signs you and I cannot read.
  • You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity.
  • These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighbourhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe.
  • These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe, street by street, neighbourhood by neighbourhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe. With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

  • Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam, Marseille and Malmo in Sweden.
  • In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim.
  • Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighbourhoods.
  • Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.
  • In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.
  • Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils.
  • In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims.
  • Non-Muslim women routinely hear “whore, whore”.
  • Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.
  • In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin.
  • The history of the Holocaust can in many cases no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity. In
  • England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighbourhoods in
  • France are no-go areas for women without head scarves.
  • Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels, because he was drinking during the Ramadan.
  • Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II.
  • French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya, Israel. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported

  • Half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France.
  • One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks.
  • The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favour of a worldwide caliphate.
  • A Dutch study reported that half of Dutch Muslims admit they “understand” the 9/11 attacks.

Muslims demand what they call ‘respect’. And this is how we give them respect. Our elites are willing to give in. To give up.

  • In my own country we have gone from calls by one cabinet member to turn Muslim holidays into official state holidays,
  • to statements by another cabinet member, that Islam is part of Dutch culture, to an affirmation by the Christian-Democratic attorney general that he is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority.
  • We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey.

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behaviour, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. Some prefer to see these as isolated incidents, but I call it a Muslim intifada. I call the perpetrators “settlers”. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies, they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighbourhoods, their cities, their countries.

Politicians shy away from taking a stand against this creeping sharia. They believe in the equality of all cultures. Moreover, on a mundane level, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

Our many problems with Islam cannot be explained by poverty, repression or the European colonial past, as the Left claims. Nor does it have anything to do with Palestinians or American troops in Iraq. The problem is Islam itself.

Allow me to give you a brief Islam 101. The first thing you need to know about Islam is the importance of the book of the Quran. The Quran is Allah’s personal word, revealed by an angel to Mohammed, the prophet. This is where the trouble starts. Every word in the Quran is Allah’s word and therefore not open to discussion or interpretation. It is valid for every Muslim and for all times. Therefore, there is no such a thing as moderate Islam. Sure, there are a lot of moderate Muslims. But a moderate Islam is non-existent.

The Quran calls for hatred, violence, submission, murder, and terrorism. The Quran calls for Muslims to kill non-Muslims, to terrorize non-Muslims and to fulfil their duty to wage war: violent jihad. Jihad is a duty for every Muslim, Islam is to rule the world – by the sword. The Quran is clearly anti-Semitic, describing Jews as monkeys and pigs.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behaviour is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages – at the same time. Islāmic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. He advised on matters of slavery, but never advised to liberate slaves. Islam has no other morality than the advancement of Islam. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad. There is no gray area or other side.

Quran as Allah’s own word and Mohammed as the perfect man are the two most important facets of Islam. Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means ‘submission’. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

This is what you need to know about Islam, in order to understand what is going on in Europe. For millions of Muslims the Quran and the live of Mohammed are not 14 centuries old, but are an everyday reality, an ideal, that guide every aspect of their lives. Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam “the most retrograde force in the world”, and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran.

Which brings me to my movie, Fitna. ( to the right side bar under Movies.)

I am a lawmaker, and not a movie maker. But I felt I had the moral duty to educate about Islam. The duty to make clear that the Quran stands at the heart of what some people call terrorism but is in reality jihad. I wanted to show that the problems of Islam are at the core of Islam, and do not belong to its fringes.

Now, from the day the plan for my movie was made public, it caused quite a stir, in the Netherlands and throughout Europe. First, there was a political storm, with government leaders, across the continent in sheer panic. The Netherlands was put under a heightened terror alert, because of possible attacks or a revolt by our Muslim population. The Dutch branch of the Islamic organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir declared that the Netherlands was due for an attack. Internationally, there was a series of incidents. The Taliban threatened to organize additional attacks against Dutch troops in Afghanistan, and a website linked to Al Qaeda published the message that I ought to be killed, while various muftis in the Middle East stated that I would be responsible for all the bloodshed after the screening of the movie. In Afghanistan and Pakistan the Dutch flag was burned on several occasions. Dolls representing me were also burned. The Indonesian President announced that I will never be admitted into Indonesia again, while the UN Secretary General and the European Union issued cowardly statements in the same vein as those made by the Dutch Government. I could go on and on. It was an absolute disgrace, a sell-out.

A plethora of legal troubles also followed, and have not ended yet. Currently the state of Jordan is litigating against me. Only last week there were renewed security agency reports about a heightened terror alert for the Netherlands because of Fitna.

Now, I would like to say a few things about Israel. Because, very soon, we will get together in its capital. The best way for a politician in Europe to loose votes is to say something positive about Israel. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I, however, will continue to speak up for Israel. I see defending Israel as a matter of principle. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

Samuel Huntington writes it so aptly: “Islam has bloody borders”. Israel is located precisely on that border. This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam’s territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islāmic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West. It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel, they can get everything. Therefore, it is not that the West has a stake in Israel. It is Israel.

It is very difficult to be an optimist in the face of the growing Islamization of Europe. All the tides are against us. On all fronts we are losing. Demographically the momentum is with Islam. Muslim immigration is even a source of pride within ruling liberal parties. Academia, the arts, the media, trade unions, the churches, the business world, the entire political establishment have all converted to the suicidal theory of multiculturalism. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a ‘right-wing extremists’ or ‘racists’. The entire establishment has sided with our enemy. Leftists, liberals and Christian-Democrats are now all in bed with Islam.

This is the most painful thing to see: the betrayal by our elites. At this moment in Europe’s history, our elites are supposed to lead us. To stand up for centuries of civilization. To defend our heritage. To honour our eternal Judeo-Christian values that made Europe what it is today. But there are very few signs of hope to be seen at the governmental level. Sarkozy, Merkel, Brown, Berlusconi; in private, they probably know how grave the situation is. But when the little red light goes on, they stare into the camera and tell us that Islam is a religion of peace, and we should all try to get along nicely and sing Kumbaya. They willingly participate in, what President Reagan so aptly called: “the betrayal of our past, the squandering of our freedom.”

If there is hope in Europe, it comes from the people, not from the elites. Change can only come from a grass-roots level. It has to come from the citizens themselves. Yet these patriots will have to take on the entire political, legal and media establishment.

Over the past years there have been some small, but encouraging, signs of a rebirth of the original European spirit. Maybe the elites turn their backs on freedom, the public does not. In my country, the Netherlands, 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat to our national identity. I don’t think the public opinion in Holland is very different from other European countries.

Patriotic parties that oppose jihad are growing, against all odds. My own party debuted two years ago, with five percent of the vote. Now it stands at ten percent in the polls. The same is true of all smililary-minded parties in Europe. They are fighting the liberal establishment, and are gaining footholds on the political arena, one voter at the time.

Now, for the first time, these patriotic parties will come together and exchange experiences. It may be the start of something big. Something that might change the map of Europe for decades to come. It might also be Europe’s last chance.

This December a conference will take place in Jerusalem. Thanks to Professor Aryeh Eldad, a member of Knesset, we will be able to watch Fitna in the Knesset building and discuss the jihad. We are organizing this event in Israel to emphasize the fact that we are all in the same boat together, and that Israel is part of our common heritage. Those attending will be a select audience. No racist organizations will be allowed. And we will only admit parties that are solidly democratic.

This conference will be the start of an Alliance of European patriots. This Alliance will serve as the backbone for all organizations and political parties that oppose jihad and Islamization. For this Alliance I seek your support.

This endeavor may be crucial to America and to the West. America may hold fast to the dream that, thanks tot its location, it is safe from jihad and shaira. But seven years ago to the day, there was still smoke rising from ground zero, following the attacks that forever shattered that dream. Yet there is a danger even greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America – as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem.

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe’s children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

This is not the first time our civilization is under threat. We have seen dangers before. We have been betrayed by our elites before. They have sided with our enemies before. And yet, then, freedom prevailed.

These are not times in which to take lessons from appeasement, capitulation, giving away, giving up or giving in. These are not times in which to draw lessons from Mr. Chamberlain. These are times calling us to draw lessons from Mr. Churchill and the words he spoke in 1942:
“Never give in, never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy”.

Allen West: Obama Is an Islamis

President Barack Obama is an Islamist who is intentionally working against the security of the United States, said former Florida Rep. Allen West. President-Barack-Obama-speaks-to-reporters-150x150

“The only plausible explanation for many actions taken by President Obama and his administration is that they are working counter to the security of the United States of America,” the retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel wrote in a post on his website on Wednesday.

West cited the president’s decision to release five senior Taliban members in the exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl; supplying weapons to support the Egyptian government led by the Muslim Brotherhood; and negotiating with Hamas.

He also criticized Obama’s decision to suspend a ban on Libyans attending U.S. flight schools and studying nuclear science, which had been in place since 1983.

“Can anyone explain what the strategy and objective is here in lifting this ban with a nation that is or should be on the terrorist watch list?”

West wrote. “Sorry, but I can only explain this one way: Barack Hussein Obama is an Islamist in his foreign policy perspectives and supports their cause.” He added, “The pivot away from the Middle East seems to be nothing more than an opportunity to enable Islamists and their goals. Anyone supporting this Libyan ban being lifted is indeed an enemy of this state.”

Convert to Islam, Pay the Tax, Flee-or Die

Imagine waking up one morning to find a red spray-painted symbol on the front of your house, identifying you as a Christian. The Arabic letter for “nun,” meaning “Nazarenes,” was recently painted on homes of Christians in the city of Mosul, Iraq, by an organized terrorist group called IS (Islamic State). Then on July 17, Christians were given a choice: convert to Islam, pay a high tax, flee or die.

VOM workers reported that some recited the shahada (Muslim confession of faith) and converted to Islam. None paid the tax to stay, and most fled the city to save their families’ lives. The believers fled without their belongings, many on foot.

Robin Williams, Suicide, Depression, and Evil Spirits

Despair and God’s Mercy
By: Dan McLaughlin (Diary) | August 12th, 2014 at 06:30 PM | 14

This is an excellent article published in Red State. It provides constructive thought for anyone trying to find answers to two piercing questions; (1) what causes a person to take his/her life, and (2) Is this a sin beyond the grace of God?

Robin-Williams-What-Dreams-May-ComePeople are talking about depression and suicide in the wake of the shocking death of Robin Williams That’s mostly a good thing – the lives and deaths of celebrities are a common language, and we can use it to discuss the world we live in. But these conversations seem to me to end up oversimplifying the issue in a way that creates pointless conflict and obscures what we really need to understand about depression and suicide.

What tends to happen when people talk about these issues is, they divide the possible responses into two extremes:
1) Suicide is a moral choice, a selfish act, and depression is no excuse for it and is just an emotional state.

2) Depression is a medical condition caused by a chemical imbalance, and people under its influence cannot be condemned or even judged for their actions.

If these seem like straw-man caricatures to you, they are; but people writing about these issues have a tendency, even if they don’t make these arguments themselves, to argue as if they are the only possible positions. This would be a good example of arguing against Strawman #1, and this post from Matt Walsh is a good example of arguing against Strawman #2. Both of those pieces have some valid points to make, and I have no problem with their being made while we are having this conversation, but their strawman-baiting ends up leaving the reader with a set of false choices.

As to suicide itself, as an act, it is absolutely the case that it is an immoral and selfish act – the Catholic Church for good reason has long regarded it as a mortal sin, as it involves not only the willful taking of a human life but also an awful lot of pain and guilt inflicted on innocent people around the person who commits suicide.

But. But. Even in our human and thus inherently flawed system of criminal justice, we show mercy to those who do things when not in their right minds. I have to believe that God, whose mercy is beyond our comprehension, is likewise merciful to those who take their lives while not in their right minds. That’s not true of every suicide, but it is generally the case when suicide follows depression. Anyone who has suffered clinical depression or dealt with anyone who has knows the devastating effects it can have on a person’s judgment, their tolerance for suffering, even their will to live. Of course, people in Robin Williams’ position should be viewed with mercy, and with pity, for reaching a point where they could no longer see hope.

At the opposite end of the scale, however, it is perilous and maybe more harm than good to reduce depression strictly to a question of chemistry. Because the problem of depression runs deeper than that, and if we had drugs to fix it entirely, Robin Williams and others like him would probably still be alive today. It’s actively dangerous to tell people their problems are just a matter of chemicals, then give them drugs and tell them it will all be OK, when it actually won’t and they may feel like they have just lost the only hope there was. It’s dangerous to tell people they have no free will in the face of depression, when they do – when the thing they need most is to have it pressed into their brains that no matter how dark things get, there is always help, always hope. Depression is a sickness of the soul, and the fact that we can diagnose its physical manifestations doesn’t change that. Ben Stein, I think, gets closest to this:

I no longer even remotely believe in psychoactive anti-depressant meds for suicidal thoughts. I’ve taken them long ago and they made me suicidal beyond any other times in my life. I strongly suspect that overuse of psychoactive anti-depressants and the contrary effects they often seem to have is a factor in military suicides. Any drug strong enough to change your basic mood is going to be dangerous.

…In my own life, I have found that prayer, intense rest, fresh air, and above all, 12-step programs for helping persons who want to get off the suicide express before it reaches its final destination in hell, work miracles. I have never known a person injured by prayer. I have never known a person driven to suicide by going to 90 meetings in 90 days and maybe 180 meetings in 90 days.

…I carry with me a gift from a friend who said it had saved his life many a time. It is a simple piece of paper that reads, “NOT TODAY.” It has brought me peace and salvation many a time. Anyone can get through just one more day and by tomorrow you might feel completely different.

Know this: Just for me, the 12-step programs are not really about keeping the drink or the drug out of my mouth. They are about keeping the gun out of my mouth. They work and they work wonders.

What works for Ben Stein may not be, precisely, what works for you, or for someone else in need of help. (Mollie Hemingway, on Twitter, suggested this book from a Lutheran pastor’s first-person account of depression). The mind and the soul are complex things. But while depression is a disease, it’s not just a disease, and combating it is a matter of treating a person, not treating a disease alone.

You know, we don’t talk much anymore in our society about evil spirits. The Bible is full of such talk, and people in more primitive days ascribed all sorts of things to them, including a great deal of what we would now describe as mental illness. We’ve moved beyond that kind of talk because – aside from the handful of cases these days in which the Church still calls for exorcisms – science has found their chemical footprints and declared them to be diseases. Yet, in most cases we are no closer to explaining their causes than people were in Jesus’ time. In many cases, we’re still far from curing them with science as well. Maybe there is wisdom in the fact that we still colloquially refer to people like Robin Williams as battling their “demons”.

My pastor is fond of quoting a scene from the play written by George Bernard Shaw (a famous atheist) about Joan of Arc, where she is quizzed about the voices she hears, telling her to save France in the name of God:

JOAN: I hear voices telling me what to do. They come from God.

ROBERT: They come from your imagination.

JOAN: Of course. That is how the messages of God come to us.

Or, to use a more recent example from the world of fiction, Harry Potter asks Dumbledore, when he meets him at King’s Cross at a place between life and death, “Is this real? or just happening inside my head”? To which Dumbledore replies, “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” To say that depression is all in your head, in your mind, is only to say that it is where you are. In the words (or perhaps paraphrased words) of C.S. Lewis, “You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.”

We pity and do not condemn the dead, because they lost hope, lost sight of the fact that they had a choice, lost the strength to make that choice. But the living need to know that that choice is always there. Of course, when modern medicine offers help, when it finds the physical footprints of demons in our minds, we should not refuse its aid. Scientific reason is one of the gifts God has given us to use to help those in need. But we should also not forget that a sickness of the soul needs every kind of help that God and man can offer.
